Harvest Days | September 23rd – October 3rd, 2021

Powell Gardens | Lee’s Summit, MO

This fall, Powell Gardens presents Harvest Days: Gather in the Gardens. Outdoor “living rooms” will be created all over the Gardens where you can gather with your loved ones and enjoy the crisp autumn air, changing colors of the season, and the bounty of the Heartland Harvest Garden. Cozy up to a fire pit with a glass of wine, good food, and better conversation. Grab a hot apple cider and take a stroll through autumnal displays. Wander the quilt gardens, sample bites of our harvest, and enjoy the fall foliage as you settle in for shorter days and cooler weather.

Parkville Microbrew Fest | October 16th, 2021

English Landing Park | Parkville, MO

Parkville Microbrew Fest, held in beautiful English Landing Park along the Missouri River, offers the best-handcrafted ales, live music, beer-related merchandise, and great food!  Participants receive a commemorative tasting glass and beer sampling from over 75 breweries. Each brewery will have its own booth to serve some of the best beer in the country.

27th Annual Dogtober Fest | October 17th, 2021

Kemper Outdoor Education Center | Blue Springs, MO

This dog-friendly event will be held from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Kemper Outdoor Education Center in Blue Springs, MO. Admission is free with donations of dry or canned dog food for our Dog Food Drive to benefit area animal shelters. Contests and games include bobbing for biscuits, sack races, roll-over races, biscuit eating, musical frisbees, biscuit toss, costume contest, dog/owner look-a-likes, biggest and smallest dog. Booths include Adopt-A-Pet, breed clubs, rescues, pet resorts, doggie daycare, trainers, service dogs, groomers, dog bakeries, veterinarians, fencing, and a wide array of dog-related products and services.

Whiskey Expo | November 6th, 2021

Harrah’s Kansas City Casino & Hotel | Kansas City, MO

Plan on meeting master distillers, master blenders, brand managers, and many other industry professionals who want to share their knowledge as you taste whiskeys throughout the evening. Discover what local distilleries have to offer as well as share drams from all over the world with other enthusiasts. Study the differences between small-batch, blended, single malt, wheated, peated, bourbon, and rye. Learn about mixology and hand-crafted cocktails. There will also be seminars with limited seating where attendees can get a deeper education on what is involved when crafting whiskey.

Donut Fest curates our favorite donuts and guests can simply enjoy a Sunday Funday while sampling donuts, enjoying beer, coffee, and more with a fun-filled tasty event! We need your help to name your city's Favorite Donut too. Sponsors include Food + Travel. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Hospitality Fund.

Gather the family together and make it a magical holiday night out. Start your tree-lighting experience at The Historic Browning Guest House. Enjoy their holiday event and then walk just two blocks to the Mayor’s Holiday Tree Lighting Festival. This MAGICAL 4.5 MILE BIKE RIDE through the hundreds of lighted, animated displays that comprise Jackson County's Christmas In The Park begins at the Frank White, Jr Ballpark and ends in front of Gusto! Coffee Shop in New Longview. (Please note that the 4.5-mile ride, is at times, dark and hilly and may not be suitable for children under the age of 10.) LIGHTS AND HELMETS ARE REQUIRED!
