This fall, Powell Gardens presents Harvest Days: Gather in the Gardens. Outdoor “living rooms” will be created all over the Gardens where you can gather with your loved ones and enjoy the crisp autumn air, changing colors of the season, and the bounty of the Heartland Harvest Garden. Cozy up to a fire pit with a glass of wine, good food, and better conversation. Grab a hot apple cider and take a stroll through autumnal displays. Wander the quilt gardens, sample bites of our harvest, and enjoy the fall foliage as you settle in for shorter days and cooler weather.

27th Annual Dogtober Fest | October 17th, 2021
Kemper Outdoor Education Center | Blue Springs, MO
This dog-friendly event will be held from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Kemper Outdoor Education Center in Blue Springs, MO. Admission is free with donations of dry or canned dog food for our Dog Food Drive to benefit area animal shelters. Contests and games include bobbing for biscuits, sack races, roll-over races, biscuit eating, musical frisbees, biscuit toss, costume contest, dog/owner look-a-likes, biggest and smallest dog. Booths include Adopt-A-Pet, breed clubs, rescues, pet resorts, doggie daycare, trainers, service dogs, groomers, dog bakeries, veterinarians, fencing, and a wide array of dog-related products and services.

This MAGICAL 4.5 MILE BIKE RIDE through the hundreds of lighted, animated displays that comprise Jackson County's Christmas In The Park begins at the Frank White, Jr Ballpark and ends in front of Gusto! Coffee Shop in New Longview. (Please note that the 4.5-mile ride, is at times, dark and hilly and may not be suitable for children under the age of 10.) LIGHTS AND HELMETS ARE REQUIRED!
