7 Must-Visit Breweries in Kansas City
It is a little-known fact that Kansas City has become quite the hot spot for up-and-coming breweries. Whether you are looking for an immersive experience or just wanting an epic happy hour, we have you covered. Here are some of our favorite Kansas City based breweries!
Boulivard Brewing Company
Founded in 1989, Boulevard Brewing Company has grown to become the largest specialty brewer in the Midwest. With around 30 different beers to choose from, you are guaranteed to find something for everyone! Stop by their beer hall located downtown Kansas City, just up the road from the brewery. Enjoy 30 tap handles featuring an assortment of year-round, seasonal, and limited offerings, including test beers available only at the Beer Hall. Enjoy small samples, a flight, full pours – or snag some of our most rare and exotic beers to go! Their crowler section offers a small, rotating selection of experimental brews that aren't offered commercially, packaged in a sealed 32oz aluminum container so you can savor fresh Boulevard beer in the comfort of your own home.

Kansas City Bier Company
German immigrants brought their interpretation of bier in its many styles to America in the 19th century. In time, the overwhelming popularity of the pale lagers they introduced became the dominant style in the U.S. until craft brewers reintroduced forgotten styles of English and Belgian ales in the 1980s.
Opened in 2014, Kansas City Bier Company brings the German-style bier authentic flavor along with local freshness. Check out their Bavarian-style Bierhalle & Biergarten to enjoy fresh, authentic, locally-brewed German-style bier and small plates of pretzels, sausages, and other favorites in a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere!

Stockyards Brewing Company
Located in the Stockyards District of Kansas City, Missouri, Stockyards Brewing Co. is a craft brewery that has one simple purpose: to make good, unpretentious beer for hardworking people, reinvigorating a historic spot seeped in our city's character. Stop by for a pint or grab a six-pack to go.

Fringe Beerworks
One of our long-time favorites (and not just because they are across the street from our office…) Fringe Beerworks is the first craft brewery to open its doors in Lee’s Summit. Known for their small batches to ensure quality and unique brews, you are sure to find something you can’t get anywhere else. Oh, and did we mention they have THE longest happy hour in Lee’s Summit? You heard that right! Stop by between weekdays between 12 pm and 6 pm!

Their number one goal is to deliver great food and beer in a friendly and attentive manner while maintaining a casual atmosphere suitable for any occasion. Not only are they creating some of the top beers in the Kansas City area, but they are also serving up top-of-the-line food to go along with it.

Casual Animal Brewing
“Laid back beers that tap into your wild side.” Casual Animal Brewing Company is another one of our favorites. Serving up some of the best beverages alongside live music, food trucks, and a great atmosphere, what’s not to love? Stop by and see them in the Crossroads Art District, Downtown Kansas City.

Crane Brewing Company
Crane Brewing Company is a microbrewery located in Raytown, MO in the Kansas City Metro. In 2016, Crane opened their taproom just to the left of their brewery. Enjoy several of their beers on tap, many of which are only available at the taproom. They also feature wine, cider, and local spirits. Non-alcoholic soda, local kombucha, and nitro cold-brew coffee from their neighbors, Benetti's.
